Our congratulations go to the City of London School for Girls on winning the inaugural World Traders’ Tacitus Public Speaking Competition. This competition was kindly hosted by Westminster School who competed along with City of London School for Boys and City of London Freemen’s School. It was an insightful evening with a variety of different approaches taken to the topic of “AI – Will It Enhance Or Diminish Our Working Lives?” The judges, Senior Warden Edwina Moreton, Sue Algeo, and I, found it a tough competition to judge, despite some excellent thought put into the scoring system by Ben Papé, Robert Keller, and Danny Kalman. It was uplifting to see the quality of presentations, responses to questions, and generosity of spirit of the competitors. This is one we do hope to repeat.
