Yesterday evening World Traders descended on the stunning location of Painters Hall for Common Hall.
Common Hall is the equivalent of an Annual General Meeting within a company. The work of the Company is discussed and examined and the decisions of the Master and Court are open to scrutiny by the entire Company. Finances are discussed and members consider the work of the Company’s charitable trust.
After all the hard work was over, members relaxed with a reviving drink and enjoyed supper in the dining hall. It was a convivial event with no seating plan which enabled members and their guests to catch up.
After supper, Andrew Marsden, marketing expert and candidate for Non Aldermanic Sheriff addressed everyone, giving a sobering but highly insightful analysis of the global economy. Thanks to the Master for such an excellent event.
