On Thursday 3 November, newly installed Master Michael Shapiro attended his first official engagement.

At the recent Modern Livery Companies Dinner, host, The Master Educator, Mrs. Caroline Haines CC chose as her theme “The Queen’s Green Canopy”. And so on a wet and windy day, approximately a dozen Masters kept warm in their gowns, and travelled to Swan Street on the banks of the River Thames. Here, The Master Educator held a tree planting ceremony to contribute to the planting efforts across the City of London in memory of Her late Majesty the Queen, followed by an informal lunch in The Samuel Pepys.

It was a wonderful occasion and enjoyed by all.
