The contrast with the weather could not have been greater. On a cold, wet, and windy evening, Master Lars Andersen gathered his flock of World Traders and their guests at All Hallows-by-the-Tower for the Company’s traditional Carol Service, admirably led by The Reverend Jennifer Midgley-Adam, with Tower Hill Voices yet again adding depth and richness to the proceedings. The service was followed by supper at Watermen’s Hall, with the Master giving an insightful and often hilarious tutorial on the Hall’s contributions to the Yuletide cheer. The evening also gave members a chance to formally welcome the Company’s new Clerk, Liz Garner, and to give retiring Clerk Gaye Duffy a rousing and heartfelt thank you for the many years of faithful and diligent leadership!
