A lovely Thank You from one of our charitable giving recipients!
The World Traders actively support students at Christ’s Hospital School in Horsham, West Sussex. Notably, we award two prizes every year at their annual Speech Day in May. The awards this year were given by the Lady Mayor Locum Tenens, Alderman Vincent Keaveny.
Past Master Mary Hardy attended the event and met up with our two prize winners. Oliver Brelsford was awarded The Oliver Hare World Traders’ Company Prize for commitment to the Christ’s Hospital Band. He has won a scholarship to attend the Royal Northern College of Music to study French horn this autumn. Daniel Bacon won the Worshipful Company of World Traders’ Prize for the Grecian who has excelled in Economics beyond the classroom. He will be going to the University of Warwick (something our Master is surely proud of!) to study for a joint honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Analytics, with the ambition of becoming an actuary.
Oliver sent Mary a thoughtful hand-written thank you note, which we wanted to share with you.
