World Traders at the inaugural Professional Development session on Tuesday 22nd March heard fascinating accounts from three members at the sharp end of exporting goods around the world. Richard Burge set the scene with an overview of the current status of and developments in world trade before Tony Grimshaw, Barry Leahey and Shalom Lloyd explained how they got in to exporting, what the challenges have been and how they view the future. The message from all of them was ‘it’s tough, but just do it!’ All three were truly inspiring and packed a lot of insight into the hour.

If you missed this one, then do make sure you sign up for future sessions! There are three more in the first semester and the next one on 20th April will consider “What’s going on at the World Trade Organisation and does it really matter?”
