World Traders at the inaugural Professional Development session on Tuesday 22nd March heard fascinating accounts from three members at the sharp end of exporting goods around the world. Richard Burge set the scene with an overview of the current status of and developments in world trade before Tony Grimshaw, Barry Leahey and Shalom Lloyd explained how they got in to exporting, what the challenges have been and how they view the future. The message from all of them was ‘it’s tough, but just do it!’ All three were truly inspiring and packed a lot of insight into the hour.
