On a humid but dry day, the Master, accompanied by Past Master Robert Woodthorpe Browne, joined 19 other Masters and their guests for the Livery Halls Walk.
Setting off at 9am from HQS Wellington and calling at Saddlers for coffee, Armourers for lunch, and Furniture Makers for tea, the walk finished at Southwark Cathedral at 5pm, after visiting all 36 Halls in the City! Gunmaker’s Hall was the only omission of the trip, as it is based outside the City Wall after an unfortunate incident with explosives many years ago.
Thanks to the sponsorship of the Company members, the Master raised £1,000 for the Charitable Trust – making the 25,000 steps and sore feet well worth it!
An official record and more photos of the event (one taked at every Hall visited) are available here. Thank you to all involved.
