Over the years, we’ve proudly hosted some of the most innovative and reputable thinkers at our Tacitus Lectures.

We have welcomed thousands of members through the doors of the historically significant Guildhall, and together shared invaluable thoughts and views on world trade.

We have also provided businesses, organisations and individuals with a wealth of opportunities by joining us as a valued sponsor of the event.

What’s new for 2023?

Throughout our many Tacitus Lectures, the Court and committee has steered the Company’s sponsorship efforts. Now, we’re encouraging you to play a defining role.

As a member of the Company, you’re uniquely situated to support sponsorship relations through your very own network. You may already be in touch with a business or individual(s) who would benefit from our notable sponsorship offering, and even become a long-term partner of the World Traders.

How will this work?

  1. When you have one (or more) sponsors in mind, identify the right contact and initiate the conversation.
  2. We encourage you to meet with the prospective sponsors in-person – perhaps over coffee, lunch or after work drinks.
  3. If your prospective sponsor wants to know more, it will then be time to provide them with their pack filled with all the information they need.
  4. Once your sponsor is ready to formally agree, please introduce them to Richard Burge who will finalise the arrangements.

What should I do next?

If you have a business or individual in mind, please contact Richard Burge at tacitus@world-traders.org for a prospective sponsor pack which will be supplied in the coming weeks.

We encourage you to contact your prospective sponsor at your earliest convenience.

The speaker for the upcoming Lecture has been announced as Rory Stewart, academic, writer, politician and diplomat. We look forward to welcoming Mr Stewart to one of our most memorable years yet.
